Phil grew up in Homestead, Florida where he taught elementary school for six years following college graduation. He married his wife Luann in 1989 and they have four children. Following seminary in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Phil worked for a ministry providing residential services to adults with mental disability for two years before coming to pastor at AMC in 2001.
Activities: camping with his family, reading with his wife, playing sports, bike riding, traveling to new places and visiting family and friends.

David Schmidt – Youth Director
David grew up in Cowlesville, NY and he attended Alden Mennonite Church throughout his upbringing. After high school he attended college at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, VA. He married his wife, Keisha, in 2006 at age 20. He taught middle school PE and health from four years in VA prior to returning to Western New York in the summer of 2012 in order for David to assume the Youth Director position here at AMC.
